Leslie Jones had put a smile on our face every time she appeared in one of Saturday Night Live‘s sketches, but she’s getting ready to leave those days behind. It’s been reported she’ll be saying goodbye to the show after a total of five seasons as a cast member.

Insiders close to the show claim that Jones decided to leave SNL before the end of her contract to focus on other business prospects. She currently has several exciting projects lined up, including an upcoming comedy special on Netflix.

Jones joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2014, and her star has been on the rise ever since. She became one of the most popular current cast members and appeared in the Ghostbusters reboot alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and fellow SNL star Kate McKinnon.

Unlike Jones, McKinnon is not ready to say goodbye to this show just yet. It’s been reported she renewed her contract with Saturday Night Live and agreed to return for her 8th season.
