Leslie Jones Opens Up About “Saturday Night Live” Departure

Leslie Jones’ decision to leave Saturday Night Live after five seasons took everyone by surprise, but the famous comedian finally broke the silence and bid farewell to the show that brought her to prominence after her shocking exit.

Jones posted a series of heart-warming tweets thanking producers, writers, and amazing crew of SNL, including show’s creator Lorne Michaels, who changed her life in so many ways.

“Thank you for being my mentor and confidant and for always having my back. You not only have my loyalty but you have my heart too! You have shown me skills I never imagined I had. I leave a better performer because of you,” wrote Leslie Jones.

The Ghostbusters star also took a moment to thank her incredible cast members, and said she’ll miss working, creating and laughing with them. Jones finished her tweet by thanking the fans who supported her during her SNL years and promised they’ll be excited after seeing some of the amazing projects and adventures she has in store.
