Another big name is heading to Quibi.
The short-form video platform from Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman has tapped 29-year-old Hunger Games star, Liam Hemsworth.
Hemsworth is set to star in an action-thriller series which will explore “the limits of how far someone would go to fight for their life and their family,” according to a press release.
The series will follow a terminally ill Dodge Maynard (Hemsworth), who wants to take care of his pregnant wife before he dies. He accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter… but the prey.
Series creator Nick Santora will also pen the series and served as executive producer. Phil Abraham (Man Men) will direct.
Quibi, which will offer its viewers “quick bite content” (10 minutes or less) is set to launch April 6, 2020.
