The Weeknd’s The Idol has found its leading lading in Lily-Rose Depp.

The show about a female pop singer who wants to start a romance with a club owner who also happens to be the leader of a secret cult in Los Angelos is currently in development.

Rose-Depp and The Weeknd are the only cast members announced so far and it’s believed that The Weeknd will play the club owner/cult leader and Rose-Depp will play his girlfriend. HBO has yet to comment.

The Idol is co-written and executive produced by The Weeknd and Sam Levinson (Euphoria). Joseph Epstein, Reza Fahim, Ashley Levinson, Kevin Turen, Nick Hall, and Aaron L. Gilbert will also executive produce.

Rose-Depp, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, was recently in The Voyagers with Tye Sheridan, Colin Farrell, and Fionn Whitehead. She’s next set to appear in Wolf and Silent Night with Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
