The cast of the upcoming film adaptation of In the Heights is basically complete, but it wouldn’t be right without one last addition…

Which has now been made.

The musical is based on the Broadway hit of the same name for which Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the music and lyrics.

The story is set over three extremely hot days in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City and follows the owner of a small bodega called Usnavi de la Vega.

While the Hamilton star portrayed Usnavi in the Broadway production that won 4 Tony Awards, Anthony Ramos will be filling the role in the film version.

That said, Miranda will still be on screen.

The 39-year-old will be playing Piragüero, the Piragua Guy, who owns a small stand selling the Puerto Rican dessert that Mister Softee is trying to shut down.

“One last bit of casting. [Rolls piragua cart on set…]” he wrote in a tweet.

The rest of the cast will include Marc Anthony, Corey Hawkins, Gregory Diaz IV, Melissa, Leslie Grace, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Dascha Polanco, and Jimmy Smits.

In the Heights is out June 26th, 2020.
