Aocial media users have made it clear in the last several days that they want singer/rapper Lizzo and Captain America star Chris Evans to lead the remake of the 1992 classic Bodyguard. And this campaign doesn’t seem like it will end soon, especially since “The Truth Hurts” singer/rapper seems to be down with the idea.

Lizzo acknowledged the social media buzz in a recent TikTok video that saw her reacting with approval to several tweets that propose she pairs with Evans on the big screen.

“What y’all think?” she added in the caption of the video.

Evans himself still hasn’t reacted to the fans’ pleas, but we believe he is also down for it especially considering his flirtatious history with Lizzo.

The original Bodyguard, starring the late Whitney Houston in her acting debut and Academy Award-winner Kevin Costner in the lead roles, centered on a famous music star who is forced to hire a bodyguard after learning she is being targeted by a stalker. The movie hasn’t been a hit with the critics, but the audience loved it, and it made $411 million at the box office compared to a $25 million budget.

The remake, which was confirmed earlier this month, is currently being written by playwriter Matthew López (The Inheritance). The new movie is expected to bring a new story while using the original as an inspiration.
