Maryland rapper Logic seems to be busy as ever after coming out of music retirement back in April. He just released a couple of new tracks, including a new collaboration with producer Madlib and an acoustic tune.

The Madlib collab is titled “Mafia Music” and was released under the moniker MadGic. The track features a smooth soul sample and begins with Logic telling the story of how MadGic did “a whole album in a night.”

“Mafia Music” is MadGic’s third song and follows previously released “Raddest Dad” and “Mars Only Pt. 3.”

The second track, “Over You,” might be even more intriguing. Logic is accompanied by an acoustic guitar and is singing instead of rapping.

The steady output of new songs is a good indicator that Logic isn’t thinking about retiring again. The 31-year-old rapper first decided to step away from music in the summer of 2020, shortly after releasing his sixth studio album No Pressure. He said at the time that he wants to focus on being a father.

During retirement, Logic ventured into streaming by signing an exclusive deal with streaming platform Twitch. His streams included producing beats, talking with fans, and playing video games.

Logic ended his retirement in early April by releasing a non-album single “Tired in Malibu.”
