It looks like Alaska will be found this October.

John Green fans have been celebrating ever since it was announced that Looking for Alaska would be adapted into a television series.

This is not the first time that one of Green’s books has received screen treatment. The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns were both made into films, but this marks the first television adaptation.

Looking for Alaska focuses on teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter as he enrolls in boarding school in an attempt to gain a deeper perspective on life. He then falls in love with Alaska Young and finds a group of loyal friends — until an unexpected tragedy forces Miles and his close friends to attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through.

The series, which will debut on Hulu, stars Charlie Plummer, Kristine Froseth, Ron Cephas Jones, Timothy Simons, Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, and Jordan Connor.

The duo behind Gossip Girl and Dynasty, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, will be executive producing the 8 episode series which premieres on October 18th.
