Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series adds to its cast.

Morfydd Clark has been cast in the forthcoming TV adaptation of the acclaimed fantasy franchise. She joins a cast that includes Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, and Maxim Baldry.

Clark is set to star as a young Galadriel, the character famously portrayed by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.

The series set in Middle Earth, exploring new storylines preceding J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring is penned by writing duo JD Payne and Patrick McKay.

Lindsey Weber, Bruce Richmond, Gene Kelly, and Sharon Tal Yguado serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Amazon Studios in cooperation with the Tolkien Estate and Trust.

Amazon has already given the series a two-season order.
