Just a week after tracks from Lorde’s third album leaked onto the internet, Lorde has announced that new music will be coming this year.

The singer posted a note on her website and along with a picture that reads, “Solar Power”, Arriving in 2021… patience is a virtue.”

It’s been four years since the Royals singer released an album. Her last album Melodrama was released in 2017.

Over a year ago, Lorde revealed that an album was in the works via an email to fans, but little information has been given since. Rumors about a new album starting surfacing after Lorde was announced as a performer at Spain’s Primavera Festival which takes place in June 2022.

“I started going back to the studio again in December, just for something to do, and to my surprise, good things came out,” she wrote. “Happy, playful things. I felt my melodic muscles flexing and strengthening…The work is so f—ing good, my friend. I am truly jazzed for you to hear it.”
