Lorde recently rocked our world with her comeback single “Solar Power”, and there’s more where that came from. Her third studio album of the same name is on the way, and we finally know when it will hit the shelves.

Lorde’s upcoming LP will be released on August 20th, and she’ll support its release by embarking on a world tour in 2022. The singer also shared a tracklist, which includes a total of 14 songs, including two deluxe edition bonus tracks and previously released lead single “Solar Power”.

In an official statement announcing the album’s release date, Lorde described it as “a celebration of the natural world” and “an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings” that she has when she’s outdoors.

“In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learned to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through,” said the Grammy-winning singer.

When it comes out on August 20th, Solar Power will be released in the form of a disc-less, eco-friendly CD alternative called a “Music Box”, designed to minimize the carbon footprint of the album.
