There’s more of Les Espookys to come.
The Spanish-language comedy has been handed a second season order by HBO. It is the second foreign language show aired regularly by the premium cabler, following Italian-language My Brilliant Friend (which will also return for a second season).
Les Espookys was co-created by Fred Armisen with Julio Torres and Ana Fabrega. Torres and Fabrega also star in the show while Armisen stars in a recurring part.
The series follows friends Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco), Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti), her sister Tati (Fabrega), and Andres (Torres) who turn their love of horror into a peculiar business, providing scares for clients. They call themselves Los Espookys.
“It’s a really fun, original, delightful show,” HBO President of Programming Casey Bloys told Deadline.
