Lovecraft Country’s Jonathan Majors has landed a lead role in the third Ant-Man movie.

Payton Reed will be returning to direct the Marvel film and Majors will star as Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling super-villain opposite Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.

Ant-Man was released in 2015 and earned $500 million across box offices worldwide. In 2018, the follow-up Ant-Man and the Wasp was released and it earned $622 million globally.

2020 has been an incredible year for Majors as he’s stared in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods opposite Delroy Lindo and was the lead role of Atticus in HBO’s series Lovecraft Country.

Majors has also starred in Hostiles, White Boy Rick, When We Rise, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco. For his role in The Last Black Man in San Francisco, he earned a Gotham Award nomination and a supporting actor nod at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

He’s currently working on The Harder They Fall with Idris Elba, Ry Cyler, Laz Alsonso, Regina King, Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, Edi Gathegi, and Lindo.
