Taylor Swift’s upcoming album keeps making headlines!

Republic Records executive Monte Lipman has revealed that Lover, the pop icon’s forthcoming album, has already nabbed nearly one million pre-sale orders. “The anticipation of this album is extraordinary, with pre-sales quickly approaching one million copies globally,” Lipman tells Variety.

The new album is set to drop this Friday.

Lover is Swift’s first release since signing with Republic. Her final Big Machine LP Reputation sold a million copies in the US in its opening week and a total 2.2 million to date.

Swift has released four singles from Lover, including “Me!,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “The Archer” and the title track.
