Madonna supported her last studio album Madame X with a concert tour across North America and Europe, and she found a perfect way to immortalize this experience—by releasing a concert film. The singer teased its release with a dramatic new trailer.

The short clip sees Madonna channeling her Madame X character, in a series of different costumes and elaborate settings. The concert film will be released on Paramount+ on October 8th, but it already had its world premiere in New York City last month, when Madonna explained why she wanted to film it and share it with the world.

“There was nothing between me and the crowd, and that was an incredible experience. I needed to document that—the process, the rehearsals, the show itself, what was in my mind, what inspires certain songs. It’s a different show, it’s a different time in my life,” the pop icon explained at the premiere of the tour film.

Madame X was originally released in 2019 and debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart. It produced collaborations “Medellín” featuring Maluma, “Crave” featuring Swae Lee, and solo singles “I Rise” and “I Don’t Search I Find”.
