Madonna already performed at almost every venue you could possibly think of, and she’s adding another one to the list. The Queen of Pop will make a special appearance at this year’s edition of Eurovision Song Contest.

The news of her involvement took the world by storm since an artist of her caliber never took part in this event. It may seem surprising, but when you think about it a little bit – Madonna is the most amazing fit. She perfectly channels the extravaganza this event is known for, and she’ll make it even more epic.

Live Nation Israel and Bluestone Entertainment, co-owned by Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary, first broke the news.

It turned out the Queen of Pop asked for a sum worthy of her crown. It’s been reported that Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams secured $1 million pay-out she asked for in return.

The semi-final shows of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 14 and 16. Best acts will make it to the final show on May 18, featuring a special appearance by Madonna. She’s set to perform two songs, including one from her upcoming album.
