Madonna hasn’t dropped a new album since her 2015 record Rebel Heart, but it seems she’s gearing up for an epic comeback.
The Queen of Pop recently teased her next project titled Madame X, but there’s a lot of mystery surrounding it.
Madonna shared the news about her next record on Twitter, but she didn’t reveal if Madame X is the name of her new album or just an alter ego she created. She described this character as a “secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, bringing light to dark places”.
This isn’t the first time the singer hinted she’s working on new music. Back in March, she posted of a hand cutting an apple with a knife, accompanied with a simple caption – “a taste of things to come”.
It’s also been reported that Madonna will perform a new song during the interval act of the final show of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, so it’s possible she’ll finally unveil Madame X at this event.
