“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” Gets Epic First Trailer

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is coming to theaters this fall, and the first trailer for this highly anticipated sequel sees the titular character going back to her evil ways.

The first trailer for the upcoming movie perfectly captures its plot and shows Maleficent going off the rails after Prince Phillip proposes to Aurora. Her overprotective nature gets the best of her, and the horned fairy has trouble letting her goddaughter get her fairy tale ending.

According to the official logline, this highly-anticipated sequel “continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.”

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is set to premiere on October 18th and it will see Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning returning to their respective roles as Maleficent and Aurora. The cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.
