Many artists had put their concert tours on hold this year, waiting for a safer time to get back on the road, including Maren Morris. After the initial delay of her RSVP Tour, she decided to cancel it altogether, and she’ll focus on writing music for her next album instead.

Morris decided to make this difficult decision “with the prospect of, yet again, rescheduling half of the dates already becoming a reality.” Instead of making another shift, she offered a full refund to her fans and said she’s hoping they’ll be able to “come together and enjoy live shows safely again soon”.

The country star also added she’s in the midst of working on her third record, a follow-up to her 2019 album Girl. In addition to topping Billboard’s top country albums chart, this album produced a crossover smash hit “The Bones”, which found an even bigger commercial success in 2020.

In addition to ruling the radio waves this year, this single won both song and single of the year awards at this year’s CMA Awards. Morris also scored the award for female vocalist of the year at this ceremony, and went on to receive a Grammy nomination for the best country song with “The Bones”.
