It’s been over a year since Maren Morris dropped her hit album Girl, and she’s finally back for more. The country star surprised her fans by dropping two new singles, titled “Just for Now” and “Takes Two”.
Morris’ two new tracks have been in the making for quite some time and are to be included in the deluxe version of her second major-label studio album Girl.
“Girl has been out over a year & has been one of the most transformative periods of my life. During this time off the road, I had the opportunity to polish up 2 older songs of mine that I couldn’t wait for you to hear,” wrote the country singer on Instagram.
Girl came out on March 8th, 2019, and it was awarded Gold certification about a year later. It included the hit single “The Bones”, which became Morris’ first song to ever top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. She also received a Grammy nod for her Brandi Carlile collaboration “Common”.
