Warner Bros. created a true internet frenzy with the first trailer for Barbie, and they just added some more fuel to the fire! The second trailer for the most anticipated film of the summer is here, and it shows Barbie and Ken heading to the real world.
The first Barbie teaser showed our favorite power couple driving off into the sunset and heading to the real world…and we finally know where they ended up. Things go sideways once they leave the picture-perfect Barbie Land behind, and the duo is forced to face reality while dealing with a full-on existential crisis, all while surrounded by a bunch of clueless humans.
In addition to Robbie and Gosling, the star-studded cast of this highly-anticipated project will also include America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Nicola Coughlan, Dua Lipa, and Helen Mirren. Greta Gerwig directed the film and co-wrote it with Noah Baumbach after Robbie convinced her to come on board.
The new trailer also gave us the first snippet of Dua Lipa’s new song “Dance the Night” and a new version of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” featuring Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj. Charli XCX, Ava Max, Tame Impala, and Haim also wrote music for the film’s splashy soundtrack.
