Life in plastic is fantastic, as Margot Robbie is about to find out.

The Suicide Squad actress has been cast in the upcoming Barbie movie!

Talk about a live-action film about the famous doll began long ago, with a deal finally being struck between Warner Bros. and Mattel — the company which manufactures Barbie — this past week.

Since being launched in 1959, Barbie, whose full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts, has been depicted as a doctor, athlete, engineer, pilot, astronaut, television reporter, and firefighter, amongst many other professions urged to inspire young girls.

While no plot details for the Barbie film have been released, Margot will both produce and embody the titular role which was previously set to be played by Amy Schumer who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

“Over the brand’s almost 60 years, Barbie has empowered kids to imagine themselves in aspirational roles from a princess to president,” Margot has said. “I’m so honoured to take on this role and produce a film that I believe will have a tremendously positive impact on children and audiences worldwide.”

Come on, Barbie — lets go party!
