We are waiting for another Harley Quinn featured movie since 2016, and it looks like we are not getting any closer to see Margot Robbie deliver another stunning performance. That is unless Robbie decides to take things into her own hands and directs Harley Quinn movie herself. It isn’t a long shot now since Robbie recently stated that she is looking into making a career switch.

Speaking to Elle Magazine, Margot Robbie said that she wants to become a director. “I still love acting.” said the 27-year-old actress. “But I’ve spent the last 10 years on a film set, and I realized that if I am pouring my heart and soul into a film, I want to be one of those voices in the conversation making decisions.”

Robbie’s most recent acting effort was the movie I, Tonya, about the life and career of American figure skater Tonya Harding. Robbie, who plays the lead role, was praised for her performance which garnered her Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations for best actress. She discussed the role in the Elle interview saying that it wasn’t easy to portray a figure like Harding, who had a widely documented life.

“Playing Tonya, who’s very much alive and is widely documented, can be more intimidating.” said Robbie.

Australia native, Margot Robbie started her career by appearing in independent movies before landing a role in the soap opera Neighbours. In 2010, she decided to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in Hollywood. She landed a role in TV show Pan Am, which lasted for one season, despite receiving positive reviews. Robbie’s first Hollywood movie was romantic comedy About Time, after which she landed the role in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. The movie launched her career, and she went on to star in blockbusters such as Focus, The Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad.
