Mariah Carey is ringing in a new decade at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and the enormous success of her song “All I Want for Christmas Is You” just transformed her into the first artists to ever hit no. 1 in four separate decades.

Carey topped Billboard Hot 100 on several occasions in the ‘90s and 2000s, but her singles released over the course of the past decade failed to find the same kind of success. Luckily, the world still couldn’t stop listening to one of her old tunes – the timeless holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

25 years after its original release, this song finally reached the top of the charts this December, and it stayed there as the new decade approached. Billboard shared a new Hot 100 chart on Monday, and it turns out this Christmas tune will still be at no. 1 once the clock strikes midnight.

This means Mariah Carey is about to become the first and only artist to top this chart in four separate decades. The list of artists who reigned in three decades each and could possibly break her record includes Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Elton John, Usher, Janet Jackson, and Madonna.
