If female-centric rom-coms happen to be your favorite genre, it’s time to put You’re Dating A Narcissist! on your watchlist. Oscar winner Marisa Tomei will be in charge of leading this promising romantic comedy alongside Sherry Cola and Ciara Bravo.
Tomei will star as an outspoken psychologist specializing in toxic relationships. She’s been burnt by love too many times and wants to prevent her daughter (Bravo) from making the same mistake. She convinces her BFF (Cola) to embark on an emergency trip to Los Angeles to stop her daughter from marrying a guy she is convinced is a narcissist.
Ann Marie Allison co-wrote the script for this film alongside Jenna Milly. She’ll also make her directorial debut with You’re Dating A Narcissist! and her expectations are running high.
“I am beyond thrilled that we’ve assembled a dream team of a cast to breathe life into this story, inspired by the tales of everyday people worldwide. My hope is to craft a film that resonates with anyone who’s danced with a narcissistic partner, offering humor, heart, and healing,” said Allison in a statement.
In addition to Tomei (Spider-Man: Far from Home), Cola (Joy Ride), and Bravo (Cherry), this rom-com will also star Marco Pigossi (Invisible City) and José María Yazpik (Narcos: Mexico).
