Fresh off the cancelation of his Fox vampire thriller, The Passage, Mark-Paul Gosselaar shares his thoughts on a possible Saved By the Bell reboot.

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Gosselaar who starred as Zach Morris on the teen sitcom said that he’s “open” to bringing back the show but, personally he’s no big on reboots.

“I’m OK, I mean me personally, never seeing a reboot ever again. I like original content… I don’t need to see these reboots, me personally, I don’t know the desire to see any of these reboots.”

Gosselaar left the door open saying that he could be convicted to reboot the sitcom saying, “Absolutely. If it was a good product that I felt wouldn’t tarnish the original product, then yeah. I’m open to hearing anything. I love what they’ve done with Cobra Kai. That type of reboot is what I would be interested in exploring.”

Saved By the Bell originally ran on NBC from 1989 to 1993. It followed a group of high school friends and starred Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, and Elizabeth Berkley.
