Mark Wahlberg In Talks to Join “Infinite”

One actor’s scheduling issues, is another’s potential gig.

After Chris Evans, who signed on to Paramount’s Infinite back in February, pulled out of Antoine Fuqua’s Infinite, we could be seeing Mark Wahlberg take over his role.

Multiple outlets report that the 48-year-old actor is in negotiations to replace Evans in the big screen adaptation of D. Eric Maikranz’s 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers.

Fuqua is directing from a script by Ian Shorr.

According to Variety, the story centers on the Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives known as “the Infinite.” They then come across a troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives, who is their only way of defeating an evil mastermind. Should Wahlberg board the project he will star as the schizophrenic man turned savior.

Production is scheduled to begin this fall for a summer 2020 release.
