“Girls Like You” serves as the third single for Maroon 5 sixth studio album Red Pill Blues, released in November 2017. The album received mixed reviews from the critics, who said that the songs lack depth although there is “a certain degree of charm” in them. Regardless of that, the album managed to have a successful commercial performance being certified Platinum in the United States and peaked at number two on US Billboard 200 charts. Maroon 5 is currently touring in support of the album, with North America leg of the tour being already underway.
