Since Marvel announced the making of a She-Hulk television series last year at Disney’s D23 expo, we haven’t heard anything about the production. Now, Variety reports that the studio found the actress to lead the show in Tatiana Maslany.

Maslany is best known for her multiple roles on Orphan Black. As the series revolves around almost a dozen different women leading different lives who find out they are all clones, Maslamy has experience in portraying multiple personalities. This is a fact that can help her in the new role.

In the series, Maslany will play Jen Walters Esq., Bruce Banner’s cousin who gets an emergency blood transfusion from him and thus gets his tendency to become a mean, green, smashing machine. Unlike her cousin, Walters remains  in full control of her faculties when she transforms into She-Hulk. She can also go between her two personalities at will.

Kat Coiro is set to be the show’s director and will also act as an executive producer. Jessica gao is the showrunner of the yet to be titled series. She will also act as an executive producer and the show’s writer.

The series is due to be streamed on Disney+ in 2022.
