Eternals is one of the most highly-anticipated blockbusters of 2021, and there are only two months left until its release. Marvel made us even more excited about this film by sharing a final trailer that drops a few important hints about MCU’s new superhero team.

The trailer opens with Salma Hayek’s voiceover explaining the emerging conflict of Eternals, by saying “five years ago, Thanos erased half of the population of the universe. But the people of this planet brought everyone back with the snap of a finger. The sudden return of the population provided the necessary energy for the emergence to begin.”

“The emergence” brings Eternals together after centuries, as they join forces to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants. Later in the trailer, Gemma Chan’s Sersi explains they were instructed not to interfere in any human conflict unless the Deviants were involved.

In addition to Chan as Sersi and Hayek as Ajak, Eternals will also star Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, among others. After several delays, Eternals is set to premiere on November 5th and its release will be preceded by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
