After several rocky attempts to bring it to the big screen, Marvel is finally giving us The Fantastic Four adaptation we deserve. Marvel Studios officially announced the A-list cast of this project, led by acclaimed stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Pascal’s casting had been a public secret for months before Marvel finally made things official. The Mandalorian and Last of Us star will lead this superhero flick as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, and he’ll be in a pretty good company!

Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission: Impossible franchise) will join him as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, along with Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.

Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s The Fantastic Four comics have already been adapted on several occasions. Tim Story Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer from 2005/2007 grossed over $635 million, but struggled to impress the critics, while Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot crashed and burned both critically and at the box office.

Matt Shakman (WandaVision) will get the chance to do things right this time around, and he’s directing this project off a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. The Fantastic Four will be released in theatres on July 25, 2025.
