The SAG-AFTRA strike may be over, but its impact will linger for months to come. Several movies shifted their release dates due to actors’ strike, and Marvel’s highly-anticipated blockbusters Deadpool 3 and Captain America: Brave New World are the next ones in line.

Deadpool 3 was supposed to premiere on July 26, 2024, but we’ll now have to wait until September 6, 2024, to see it in the theatre. This will be the first Deadpool film to be released under the Marvel banner, following Disney’s acquisition of the 20th Century Fox.

Expectations are running high because the cast of this film will be more star-studded than ever. In addition to Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, and Brianna Hildebrand reprising their roles from the previous Deadpool movies, the third installment will also feature Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Jennifer Garner as Elektra.

Captain America: Brave New World will move to February 14, 2025, leaving its July 26, 2024 slot to Deadpool 3. It will see Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson finally take the Captain America mantle after coming to terms with this decision in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts also shifted its release date from December 20, 2024 to July 25, 2025, and it’s yet to kick off production.
