The New York comedy scene best be ready, because Midge Maisel is back.

Rachel Brosnahan brought the feisty and funny Yiddish maiden to life in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

The comedy series by Amy Sherman-Palladino — who created Gilmore Girls — was a hit at the Primetime Emmy Awards where it scooped up Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Rachel, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Tony Shalhoub, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Alex Borstein.

The cast is returning for season 2 where Midge will head into the road with her manager Susie to play at comedy clubs.

Amazon has now confirmed season 2’s release date as the 5th of December!

We’ll put the kneidels on to boil.
