Marvel’s Black Widow has just added another major name to its call sheet.

Deadline reports that Brit actor O. T. Fagbenle has joined the standalone superhero feature opposite Scarlett Johansson. Fagbenle joins previously announced cast members David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fagbenle has been tapped to star in a leading role opposite Johansson who stars as the film’s titular character. Plot details are under wraps, but it is known that the film will center on the origin story of Johansson’s KGB spy assassin Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow introduced in Iron Man 2. Black Widow ultimately became an agent of SHIELD and an Avenger.

Australian filmmaker Cate Shortland is directing from a rewrite of Jac Schaeffer’s script by writer Ned Benson.

Fagbenle currently stars as Luke, husband of Elisabeth Moss’ June Osborne on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. His other credits include BBC’s The Interceptor, HBO’s Looking and The Five currently streaming on Netflix.
