Marvel’s highly-anticipated The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series will resume shooting in the Czech Republic.

The upcoming MCU series, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, was due to film back in March. Following the coronavirus pandemic, filming has had to be put on hold. Although lockdown is slowly being lifted worldwide, fans have been unsure whether the new series will be able to resume filming any time soon. This is because of the EU travel ban on U.S. travelers.

Fortunately, it is looking like the ban does not apply to filmmakers, who are classed as economic workers.

The Czech Film Commission head Pavlína Žipková said in a statement: “In relation to the EU declaring a travel ban on the US, please let me assure you this is not valid for economic workers but tourism travelers only. Filmmakers of all nations are welcome in the Czech Republic.”

At present, the series is set to debut in August this year. There has been no confirmed release date since the announcement that filming would be resuming was made.
