Mary J. Blige is now a single woman.
The singer-actress filed for divorce from husband, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs (who doubled as her manager), in 2016, after being together for 13 years.
The couple did not have children together.
At the time, the Academy Award nominee cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, with her publicist stating, “Ms. Blige is saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would… But, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything. Mary will continue writing & working on her album which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time.”
Fast forward to 2018, where the separation has now been finalized after it was settled out of court.
It would appear as though the “Stronger” singer will be doing just that.
