A new Mary Poppins Returns teaser showcases new music and the excitement is through the roof!
Emily Blunt is proving that fans that anything is possible with a new song. Walt Disney Pictures has just released another look at the upcoming family film and revealed one of the new songs the upcoming sequel will feature. According to Entertainment Weekly, Composer Marc Shaiman and lyricist Scott Wittman thought up a fresh score for the film.
The short clip features a snippet of the song titled, “Can You Imagine That”: “Some people like to splash and play / Can you imagine that? / Perhaps we’ve learnt when day is done / Some stuff and nonsense could be fun,” Blunt sang in the clip. “Can you imagine that?”
Blunt stars as the magical nanny who returns to the Banks family’s home to help siblings Jane (Emily Mortimer) and Michael (Ben Whishaw)—and their own kids deal with a family tragedy. Also starring are Colin Firth, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury, and Dick Van Dyke.
Mary Poppins Returns opens in theaters on December 19.
