After taking an 11-year hiatus, Matthew Fox is scheduled to return to TV.

Known for Lost and Party of Five, he’s set to star in Last Light, an action-packed thriller mini-series with Joanne Froggatt. The series, directed by Dennie Gordon, is adapted from Alex Scarrow’s bestselling novel.

The series is five parts and it marks Fox, who also serves as executive producer’s, first TV role since Lost ended in 2010. Since then he’s been in films including World War Z and Bone Tomahawk.

Last Light was written by John Zinman and Patrick Massett and it centers around a family whose lives change when oil supplies get contaminated with an infectious agent which causes society to implode.

“‘Last Light’ is the perfect combination of an action-packed limited series with a compelling family drama at its heart,” said Lisa Katz, president of scripted content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “Led by fan favorites Matthew Fox and Joanne Froggatt, this sweeping international saga spans several continents that provide a stunning global backdrop, yet is grounded in a relatable and topical story. We can’t wait to share this with Peacock audiences.”
