Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are one of Hollywood’s best power duos, and they’re plotting their next project by each other’s side. The True Detective co-stars will play lead roles in David West Read’s upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series.

Apple TV+ described the new show as “a heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.”

Art will be imitating life in this untitled 10-episode half-hour comedy, and it will see the two actors put their friendship to the test by attempting to live together on McConaughey’s Texas ranch with their families.

This concept would’ve been a little bit strange if it involved any other two celebrities, but it’s Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson we’re talking about! They’ve been friends for decades, and we’ve seen them star in several films together, including Welcome to HollywoodEDtv, and Surfer Dude.

Their most successful project together is definitely the HBO series True Detective. They appeared in the first season of the acclaimed crime drama in 2014 as Louisiana State Police detectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart. The duo received nominations for several awards for their work on this series, including a Golden Globe, Emmy, and SAG Award.
