Megan Thee Stallion has been teasing her second studio album for quite some time, but its release still took us off guard. Her latest LP Traumazine hit the shelves on Friday, only a day after the Grammy-winning rapper officially announced its release date.

The surprise release of Stallion’s latest studio effort took the world by storm, but her most passionate fans could’ve seen it coming. She’s been teasing it on social media for quite some time and the only piece of the puzzle that we were missing was the album’s release date.

She previously told Rolling Stone that she wants to take listeners through many different emotions on this record, and doubled down on that on Instagram.

“It took a lot of self-reflecting to get to the point in my life where I am right now… I ain’t saying I finally figured everything out or that I’m finally at peace, [because] I’m not… buttt I’m excited for the hotties to get a better understanding of what’s happening in my head,” wrote Stallion on Instagram.

Before hitting the shelves on August 12, Traumazine was preceded by singles “Sweetest Pie” featuring Dua Lipa, “Plan B”, and “Pressurelicious” with Future. It also features collaborations with Jhené Aiko, Ricko Nasty, and Latto, among others.
