Megan Thee Stallion recently teased her new era on social media, and it’s shaping up to be the most exciting one yet. The Grammy-winning rapper shared some amazing news about her next album on social media and revealed she’s planning to release it independently without a label.

The Grammy-winning rapper spilled some tea about her new album while chatting with fans on Instagram Live. She said her next LP will be “funded by Megan Thee Stallion’s pocket” and said she’s so excited to be “doing it big” this time.

“We’re doing something for the first time independently since it was just me and my mama. I’m so excited ’cause it’s literally just me this go round until we sign to a new label. But I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself,” she explained.

Megan Thee Stallion has two studio albums under her belt: 2020’s Good News and 2022’s Traumazine, both released by 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified. She took a brief break from music to focus on mental health earlier this year, but eventually made a comeback with the Cardi B collaboration “Bongos”. She also made her feature film acting debut in Dicks: The Musical, which premiered to rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival.
