The third season of Only Murders in the Building is on the way and it will be more star-studded than ever. Selena Gomez shared a cheeky clip teasing Season 3 on social media, revealing that Meryl Streep will join the cast in a mystery role.

Streep’s casting was confirmed in a viral clip shared on Gomez’s TikTok, where she’s hanging out behind the scenes with Steve Martin and Martin Short. The clip also confirms the return of Andrea Martin and Paul Rudd, but the real shocker comes at the very end, with Streep popping into the frame.

Streep most recently starred in Netflix’s satirical comedy Don’t Look Up alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Only Murders in the Building will be her first television project since Big Little Lies, for which she received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations.

Hulu confirmed Streep’s casting, but they didn’t share any details about her character. Rudd’s involvement was teased during the Season 2 finale when he played a theatre actor Ben Glenroy, who suddenly dies while performing on stage. Jesse Williams is also among the new cast members joining Season 3, which kicked off production earlier this month and still doesn’t have an official release date.
