After the worldwide screening of Metallica’s 20th year S&M anniversary show on October 9 was a great success, Trafalgar Releasing has announced another worldwide screening on October 30. The first screening of the show spanned more than 3,700 cinemas in 95 countries and grossed a record-breaking 5.5 million dollars.

The show saw the metal legends reunite with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, with whom they have made the S&M album and show in 1999. It is a three-hour concert, split into two parts and it was conducted by Edwin Outwater with a special appearance by Michael Tilson Thomas. The band performed on a revolving circular stage surrounded by 75 orchestra players in front of 16,000 people at the new Chase Center in San Francisco.

Metallica’s drummer, Lars Ulrich, has recently told Kerrang! About his experience on the show “The Anesthesia bass solo was incredible. The way the fans reacted to that was goosebump-city. I loved the dare of playing Iron Foundry. I loved revisiting songs we don’t play so often like The Outlaw Torn and The Call Of Ktulu.”

“From the critical and audience acclaim to the box office results in cinemas worldwide, this film truly exemplifies the power of bringing fans together around the world via the big screen,” said Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing

Tickets to the new screening will be available from October 17. You can find out more details on Metallica.film.
