Michael B. Jordan gave us one of his most iconic roles in the Creed franchise and he’s back for more! After a five-year-long wait, Creed III is finally coming to theatres next spring and the first official trailer gave us a taste of things to come.

Following the events of Creed II, Adonis “Donnie” Creed is finally thriving in his career and family life, but something changes once his childhood friend Damian “Dame” Anderson (Jonathan Majors) resurfaces after years in prison. The former boxing prodigy is eager to return to the ring and prove his worth – and Donnie is the only one standing in his way.

In addition to playing the lead role, Jordan also made his feature directorial debut with Creed III and described it as the most challenging thing he’s done so far.

“For me it was the perfect time, growing up on set and in the industry for over 20 years… I finally got to this place in my career where I wanted to tell a story and not just be in front of the camera, not just execute somebody else’s vision,” Jordan told reporters before virtually previewing the trailer.

In addition to Jordan and Majors, Creed III also stars Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad. It’s set to premiere on March 3, 2023, after several major delays.
