Michael C. Hall Talks About “Dexter” Reboot, Whether New Series Will Be the Finale

Michael C. Hall in "Dexter"

Back in October 2020, we got the news that a Dexter reboot was in the works and that Michael C. Hall would be returning to play the titular character.

The 10-episode reboot is a continuation of Dexter and the storyline will take place 10 years following Season 8’s finale, which ended in 2013.

When speaking with NME about the reboot, Hall said: “I don’t really know what to expect, as I’ve never returned to a job after so much time. Having Dexter in a completely different context, we’ll see how that feels. It’s been interesting to figure out how to do that and I thought it was time to find out what the hell happened to him.”

The news outlet also asked Hall if the series was definitely the show’s finale to which he responded, “I’m reluctant to say ‘definitely’, you know? Let’s see. What’s plain now is that there’s 10 new episodes.”

Last month four stars were added to the cast including Julia Jones (Twilight, Westworld), Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), and Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird).
