Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander are one of Hollywood’s ultimate power couples, and they’re getting ready to make another film by each other’s side. The duo will star in the next film from acclaimed Korean director Na Hong-Jin titled Hope.

Hope will center on residents of the remote harbor town Hope Port, who must fight for survival against something they have never encountered before after a mystery discovery on the outskirt of the town.

Na Hong-Jin hasn’t directed a new film since the acclaimed horror The Wailing in 2016. He’ll reunite with cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo, whose credits include Parasite and Burning, and he’s looking forward to telling this captivating story.

“Oftentimes, a person’s goodwill can lead to unintended catastrophe simply because of differences in perspective. My hope for this film is to cinematically capture that phenomenon in a way that has yet to be seen,“ Na Hong-Jin said in a statement.

The film will mostly be filmed in Korean, but Fassbender and Vikander will take English-speaking roles. This marks their second collaboration following The Light Between Oceans from 2016. They got married in a private ceremony in Ibiza, Spain in 2017 after meeting on the set of this film.
