Wednesday the 29th of August marked what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday.

The King of Pop died 8 years ago after being given an array of medication from his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, to help him sleep.

With 13 Grammy awards to his name and 13 number one singles in the US, Michael achieved the Guinness World Record for Most Successful Entertainer of All Time.

Dozens of tributes poured in for the late artist to mark his birthday.

His sister, Janet Jackson, created a video inspired by his own hit, Remember the Time, with the aid of Kwaylon “BlameItOnKway” Rogers, Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, and Diamond Batiste.

Music producer, Mark Ronson, who was responsible for “Uptown Funk”, crafted a remix of Michael’s biggest hits, including “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”, “Billie Jean”, “Smooth Criminal”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, and “Human Nature”.

Several stars also acknowledged 6 decades of the singer by sharing pictures and messages on social media:

Rapper Kanye West posted a clip of him listening to “Never Can Say Goodbye”.

The Queen of Pop, Madonna, who recently turned 60 herself, shared pictures with Michael:
