CBS’ hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory is currently on a break, but the show is set to return with a bang (pun intended) when the second part of season 11 starts airing. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Microsoft co-founder and the wealthiest man alive, Bill Gates, is set to guest star in one of the upcoming episodes of the show, which will air in March. According to CBS, “when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) hosts Bill Gates at work, Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayaar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will do everything in their power to meet him.”

This won’t be the first time Bill Gates made an appearance in one of the popular TV sitcoms. He also guest-starred in season nine of Fraiser.

High-profile guests on The Big Bang Theory became a common thing through the years since we had an opportunity to see entrepreneur Elon Musk, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, physicists Neal DeGrasse Tyson and Steven Hawking, Star Trek legends George Takei and Leonard Nimoy, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and comic book writer Stan Lee all making an appearance on the show.

The Big Bang Theory, currently one of the most popular television programs in the United States, is set to air for at least one more season after season 11 wraps up. However, we could see the sitcom going beyond season 12 according to CBS CEO Leslie Moonves.

“I hope it goes beyond that,” – said Moonves recently. “In my book, Everybody Loves Raymond left three years too early. You want to leave on top, but you also don’t want to leave money on the table.”
