Each season of The White Lotus is one wild rollercoaster, and Mike White promised the show’s next chapter will be the craziest one yet. The creator of the acclaimed anthology series shared some exciting news about the show’s future in a recent interview and promised a “supersized” Season 3.

White discussed the status of the next season with Entrainment Weekly and said he’s “seriously finishing scripts” for Season 3 now that the WGA strike is over.

“It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus. It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season,” said White.

White didn’t specify if the term “supersized” only refers to the scope of Season 3 or its overall run, as well. It’s unclear how many episodes the next season would future given that The White Lotus never stuck to an exact number, with Season 1 featuring six episodes, just for that number to go up to seven in Season 2.

Season 3 of The White Lotus will be set in Thailand, and HBO’s CEO Casey Bloys recently revealed it will most likely premiere in 2025.
