Netflix’s film adaptation of Jessica Knoll’s Luckiest Girl Alive has found its lead in Mila Kunis.

Kunis will star as Ana FaNell in the film based on the New York Times best-selling thriller of the same name about a New York magazine editor whose perfect life is turned upside down after a crime documentary makes her relive the truth revolving around a tragic incident that happened when she was a teenager at the prestigious Bradley School. She must deal with her dark past that threatens the life she built for herself.

The Bad Moms and Black Swan star will also be producing the project with Bruna Papandrea, Jeanne Snow, Erik Feig, and Lucy Kitada. Knoll will write the screenplay and executive produce with Mike Barker (The Handmaid’s Tale) directing. Also executive producing are Lisa Sterbakov, Shayne Fiske Goldner, and Steve Hutensky.

Kunis can be seen in the comedy-drama Breaking News in Yuba County, starring opposite Allison Janney, Awkwafina, Regina Hall, and Juliette Lewis.
